Project 1 - Model & Tattoos : Expression through Design Elements & Principles
This project introduces basic understanding of the design elements and principles, process and approaches in generating ideas, developing design and translating it into form in a workshop based exploitative studio. The outcome of the project is an architectural self-exploration: you are free to explore forms and techniques that shows creativity, identity and explained with rigor through your model and tattoo stamps.
I learnt to manage myself and be self-reliant. I plan the timeline to do my project so that I can submit my project on time. Through this project, I able to generate design intentions through the process of exploring design principles.
Project 2 - 1:1 Tectonics Design Principles, Anthropometric and Ergonomic Exploration
Chose a common banal action(walking, standing, sitting, leaning and etc.) and study the beauty in the movement of this commonality. Look into the anthropometry and ergonomic of the action. You are to develop your 1:1 Tectonic by using bamboo and involving scaled 'study model' . The final design will be produced as 1:1 scale assembly and installation work and it is a group project.
Through this project I learnt the important of team dynamic and cooperation of every group members. I understand and assume leadership to make the project done. We all give our ideas and comments to finalize our final design which is good as every members have their own perspective which combine together to have the final design.

Project 3 - Interpretation and Representation: Principles, Tectonics and Sensory
In project 3, you will look back at your beautiful tectonic structure and deconstruct it layer by layer. From here, you will identify a dominant theme from your understanding of design elements and principles and enhance the structure to create a poetic architectural representation and your own reinterpretation of your 1:1 Tectonic. Spatial experience and sensorial experiences should be include in your design for the user.
Through this final project, I learnt to think critically and creatively to generate ideas to develop my bamboo structure to my final project. I analyze the problem and find effective solutions to solve it. I also learnt to think out of box to feel free to explore any forms of design that suit my ideas.
